Truthfully, Paz de la Huerta has always been out there, an exotic sexual presence that transcends the normal “spicy Latina” stereotype. Born in New York to a Spanish father and a mother from Minnesota, she’s played high sensual roles on and off the screen for years (who else could claim consecutive roles as “Miss Lingerie” and “Nude Woman?”) Many will remember her from her arc on Boardwalk Empire in 2011.

Her undeniably steamy–some might even say ‘kinky’–presence is fully on display in one of the stranger movies to make it into 2014: Nurse, presented rather inexplicably in 3-D. It’s an erotic thriller with a lot of blood and bizarre images, set in some strange parallel version of urban America that looks more like a rock music video than Manhattan. Still: Paz’ power can’t be denied. Take a look at the Nurse 3D trailer and decide for yourself, but be warned: it’s pretty explicit and definitely Not Suitable For Work.
It opens February 7 in a limited release.
