Once Upon a Time, the new “modern-day-fairy-tale” fantasy starring (among many others) Lana Parrilla, debuted this Sunday, and attracted almost 4 million in the all-important 18-49 demographic, as well as more than 12 1/2 million viewers overall. That’s the biggest audience for any drama premiere on any network this season, and even more impressive considering NBC has Sunday Night Football and FOX had the World Series.
Maybe the nets will finally get the idea that original programming on the weekend is a good thing? And we’ll have to see if the numbers with Week 2.
