Some big returns, some new shows, some season-long arcs with Latinos in the mix, all showing up Wednesday night
You can start the day watching Jennifer Lopez being all American Idol-y on a new Ellen Degeneres Show, but then comes the nighttime. You’ll probably recognize only a couple of these shows as “Latino,” but there’s plenty worth watching tonight:
- J.D. Pardo is joined by guest stars Mat Vairo, Jorge Jiménez on a Spanish-flavored edition of Revolution, 8P on NBC.
- Sofía Vergara and Rico Rodriguez are still queen and prince of Latino TV, with a new Modern Family at 9P on ABC.
- Kevin Alejandro returns as the despicable Brother Blood as Arrow gets up and running for 2014 at 8P on the CW.
- Jennifer Lopez is back on the new season of American Idol on FOX at 8P. Nicer judges this year?
- Bunnie Rivera returns to complicate the lives of pretty much everyone in the season premiere of Suburgatory, entitled–appropriately–“No Me Gusta, Mami,” but it’s not clear if she’s a regular or a guest this season.
-
James (Rodriguez) Roday keeps his pseudo-psychic powers in play on a new Psych, 9P on USA.
- Raúl Espaza and Danny Pino enforces the creepiest laws on the books in a new Law and Order: SVU, 9P on NBC.
- Chicago P.D. has an increasingly huge rotating ensemble, including Jon Seda, America Olivo, Zach Garcia, and Arturo Del Puerto, as well as a guest appearance by firefighter Monica Raymund, all at 10P on NBC.
…and you can end the night with John Leguizamo, probably talking more about Ride Along, on The Arsenio Hall Show. It’s syndicated, so check your local listings for time and channel.
