Tonita Castro goes a little crazy in “Go On,” and you can watch

Tonita Castro has been playing solid Latino characters for years now, from The Shield to Dexter on TV and in wonderful, eccentric movies that include The Sound of My Voice, Bad Ass, Seeking a Friend at the end of the World, and Mosquita y Mari. And now she’s getting additional notice as part of the “group therapy” ensemble in Matthew Perry’s new comedy on NBC, Go On. And its pilot episode is already available for public viewing.

NBC has done this before; previewing its strongest series way before the premiere date. This time they dropped the pilot into the middle of their Olympics coverage, and it seems to have paid off: the “sampling” numbers were strong, assuring a big premiere a month from now, when the show officially debuts next month.

Tonita has a key role in this episode, speaking both English and Spanish and endearing herself to everyone in the process. And wait ’til you see her in a long blonde wig, running down the street wielding a broadsword…

You can catch it now right here on Hulu, and catch the next episode on Tuesday, September 11.
