For years now, Rico Rodriguez has grown up in the formidable (and shapely) shadow of Sofía Vergara on Modern Family, but that hasn’t kept him from learning few lessons and crafting an image of his own: as a smart, funny and wildly perceptive kid. Now Rico is sharing his (first) thoughts about growing up in Hollywood–and simply growing up–in a light-hearted book called Reel Life Lessons…So Far. It’s filled with anecdotes about his on-screen family and real family, and some remarkable insights acquired while growing up in the center of the spotlight.
“I love to entertain people and make them laugh,” Rico says. “Whether through Manny or by just being myself, making people laugh is the greatest feeling in the world. Getting an opportunity to do that at my age has taught me a lot. So, I started this journal as a reminder of the most important real and ‘reel’ life lessons that I hope to never forget.”
Reel Life Lessons is available in paperback or as an e-book, here on amazon.com and all over the place, beginning November 6.
