Just Not Busy Enough: Natalie Morales Joins “Trophy Wife”

Natalie Morales

Natalie Morales has had an amazingly half a decade. She first came to light in the slightly goofy superhero series The Middleman, and though the show itself didn’t make it into a second season, Natalie definitely got noticed. She showed up almost immediately on USA’s White Collar, paused long enough for a supporting role in the Drew Barrymore/Justin Long romcom Going the Distance, then jumped into an arc on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. And now–just as she starts an arc on The CW’s 90210, she’s joined the cast of a new pilot for ABC: Trophy Wife, starring Bradley Whitford (The West Wing, The Good Guys) and Malik Akerman (Watchmen). The story revolves around the romance between Whitford and a reformed party girl (Akerman), who suddenly finds herself the stepmother of three manipulative kids and dealing with a couple of “judgmental ex-wives,” played by Oscar winner Maria Gay Harden (Pollock, The Mist, Mystic River) and Michaela Watkins (Saturday Night Live, Enlightened). Natalie also has a terrific tumblr that you can enjoy here.
