It was a busy and exciting night at the evening’s event. Most of the honorees stopped to have their pictures taken and to chat with the reporters and photographers who were lined up to greet them.
This year’s The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) Impact Awards honored Michael Peña (End of Watch) in Outstanding Performance in a Motion Picture; Morena Baccarin (Homeland), Gina Torres (Suits), Lana Parrilla (Once Upon a Time), all three for Outstanding Performance in a Television Series; Mario Lopez (Extra), and Emmy Award winner John Leguizamo (Ghetto Klown) Outstanding Theatrical Performance. Tony Hernandez (Immigrant Archive Project) received the inaugural Lupe Ontiveros Indomitable Spirit Award—A new award in honor of the late actress.
