Another full night for Latinos on TV

From music to cop shows, from doctors to bikers, it’s a full night on network and cable for Latinos in supporting roles

8:00: The Voice and NCIS

Christina Aguilera continues to kick ratings but with Night Number Two of The Voice. It will be interesting to see if the ratings hold up when Shakira take her place for the next go-round. Also, Christina Milian is the Social Media Correspondent for The Voice.

And it’s easy to take Cote de Pablo’s consistently fine work on NCIS for granted, but she continues to give a potentially cartoony character both depth and grace as Ziva David, week after week.

9:00: NCIS: Los Angeles and Go On

We’re not sure if Miguel Ferrer is going to be around every week this season, but he’s clearly a continuing presence and a recurring character on NCIS: Los Angeles.

There’s no good reason that Tonita Castro isn’t included in the posters and promotional materials for Go On, along with all the other members of Matthew Perry’s support group…but she’s still in there, and one of the funniest parts of the show.

10:00: Vegas, Parenthood, Private Practice and Sons of Anarchy

Will Aimee Garcia be more than a two-show wonder on Vegas? We’ll have to see, but she’s in tonight’s episode as a saucy sheriff’s office employee.

Sarah Ramos has been in there pitchin’ on Parenthood for years now–another under-appreciated asset.

Benjamin Bratt is good in whatever he’s doing, and even if Private Practice isn’t much of a stretch for him, it’s a pleasure to have him on board this aging medical drama.

If you haven’t seen Jimmy Smits’ awesome anti-hero on Sons of Anarchy, you’re missing something…and expect to hear about it more come Emmy time. Also on the show is Wanda de Jesus, Danny Trejo, Benito Martinez and others.
