I caught up with actor Antonio Jaramillo; he’s someone I really enjoy talking to. I love his passion for his craft. You’ll see him soon as “Michael ‘Riz’ Ariza,” on FX Mayans M.C. We talked about how this role came to him and what we should expect from the show. It was a lively conversation and you can listen in on it.

Here’s a little background on “Riz,” El Secretario of the Mayans M.C., Santo Padre Charter. A Santo Padre local, Riz’ broken upbringing on the border equipped him well to navigate the outlaw world with diplomacy and cunning. Riz loves his hair as much as his motorcycle.
Mayans M.C. is the next chapter in Kurt Sutter’s award-winning Sons of Anarchy saga. Set in a post-Jax Teller world, Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes (JD Pardo) is fresh out of prison and a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. Now, EZ must carve out his new identity in a town where he was once the golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp.
The series also stars Clayton Cardenas, Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Raoul Max Trujillo, Richard Cabral, and Danny Pino. Recurring stars include Emilio Rivera,Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, Vincent Rocco Vargas, Maurice Compte, Gino Vento, Tony Plana, andAda Maris.
Mayans M.C. was co-created by Sutter and Elgin James. Norberto Barba has directed three of the episodes. The series is executive produced by Sutter and Barba, with James as co-executive producer. All 10 episodes of the first season are already in the can, ready for its audience. It premieres Tuesday, September 4 at 10/9C.
