WANTED: Someone to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. It’s the beginning of an odd little classified add in a Seattle newspaper that is the trigger for an equally quirky little movie that made a splash at Sundance this year, Safety Not Guaranteed.
Latina actress and comedian Aubrey Plaza, best known for Parks and Recreation, stars with a host of other folks you’ll recognize for equally off-the-wall sitcoms like The New Girl and The League. And the central premise–can this guy really go back in time? Why is he going? What will happen?–has already charmed film festival fans. Maybe it’ll charm al of us, too.
Check out the brand new trailer, prominently featuring an increasingly intriguing Aubrey Plaza, and look for the theatrical premiere this June.
