Laura Wides-Munoz of the Chicago Sun-Times did a thoughtful and informative piece about HBO’s “Latino List.” You can read it here and gain something whether you’ve seen the documentary or not. She mentioned a couple of the Usual Suspects when it comes to Latinos on TV at the beginning of the article, and more than implies that involvement “thins considerably” after just a couple of people. We know that’s not quite the case, though there is plenty of room for growth, especially in leading roles. Still: good to see the doc and the role of Latinos on the tube getting such premiere treatment in the big-time English-language media.
