We know that the People’s Choice Awards ceremony is coming up tonight, but frankly…we weren’t very excited by it. Just another awards show these days.
But now we have a reason to watch…and we want you to join us. For one thing, stars like Enrique Iglesias, Selena Gomez, Pitbull, Don Omar and Sofia Vergara are nominees, and at least some of them may end up as presenters as well. That’s a start.
Even better, the amazing Liliana Gil of XL Alliance and HispanicCMO.com and so much else is hosting a twitter party right from the GoGlo’s Red Carpet–a party that’s set to include a wicked range of Latino taste-makers, fashionistas, and cultural commentators (we’re sure our invitation was just misplaced in the e-mail; we’ll be there next year.)
“Besides bringing the typical celebrity reports,” Lili says, “We are happy to be bringing some sabor Latino into the show!” (This marketer/speaker/motivator/businesswoman is pretty amazing; we’ve been meaning to profile her for awhile. Note to SeF: get around to that!) All you have to do to join is to call up Twitter at 7P Pacific Time tonight, and use the hashtag at #HBOatsLatinVIP and–just for good measure—#LATISM. (Oh, and notice there are actual big-time sponsors involved here, too, like Honey Bunches of Oats Latino, which is launching its new twitterfeed in tandem with the event. Now, that is great to see.)
