It seems to happening faster than we expected, but George Lopez’ jump into the reality show/game show/dating genre is happening Thursday, June 7, when Take Me Out premieres at 8 p.m. on FOX. “Thirty lucky women search for their perfect summer fling,” it says here in the press release, “on the Series Premiere of the provocative and hilarious new dating show hosted by George Lopez.” It’s a format that has worked amazingly well in many other countries; this is its first attempt in precisely this form here in the U.S.
Marissa Roffman over at GiveMeMyRemote.com did a pretty extensive runway interview with George about the show, including its international routes and the reasons for his (actually, pretty surprising) involvement in the new venture.
