Jennifer Lopez was a busy woman in 2011, and 2012 looks just as busy for the (increasingly savvy) singer/songwriter/actress/producer.
In January alone, she’ll be back on FOX with yet another year of American Idol, the grandaddy of all contemporary talent shows premiering with those painful “try-out” episodes on Wednesday, January 18. And just a few days later, on Saturday, January 28, ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen (produce with Marc Anthony and Jamie King). Few new details are available, but the show looks big and splashy—not another contest like Idol or The Voice (coming back February 5th, with Christina Aguilera and Christina Milian), but more like a global talent search that spans the Latino culture worldwide, and ends with a series of wild performances later this year.
Past that, Lopez’ super-busy production company, Nuyorican Productions, continued developing a series for MTV with writer/actress/internet celeb/composer Grace Parra, who recently announced that she’s finished the script for Jennifer and Co., (We wrote about that project pretty extensively right here, and you can read Grace’s latest tweet just to the right of the article, and the other new series she’s putting together for ABC is one step behind that. Whew!
