Jeremy Ray Valdez may be all of 31 years old, but he’s already a Latino actor and filmmaker worth watching. He’s been working for a decade or more already, most notably side-by-side with Benjamin Bratt in Peter Bratt’s La Mission. And he’s been on almost every hour-long network drama of note, from 24 to NCIS to The Closer. Dude, the guy even did a few episodes of That’s So Raven! He’s a pro. Not to mention bright, talented, and ridiculously good-looking.
One of his recent pieces, the weight-lifter/winner movie All She Can (with a host of Latino performers, young and old–we’ll be talking about this one soon!), is coming to DVD later this month, and he’s in a World War II adventure flick about the B-17 called The Fortress, that’s in post-production as well. (You can check out its trailer here.) Most interesting, he’s just wrapped a crime thriller called Mission Park, directed by Bryan Ramirez, and including another extremely interesting bunch of actors, including Vivica Fox, Jesse Borrego, Walter Perez, Joseph Julian Soria, Fernanda Romero, Douglas Spain and many more. You can try and dig out the details on its truly mysterious web site, here.
How do we know all this? Because Jeremy Ray Valdez also produces a really fascinating and professionally produced vlog that’s a pleasure to follow. Here’s the most recent installment, as he talks about Mission Park and his future plans. And we’re looking forward to future installment.
