I’ve been following Jessica Camacho’s career for a few years now, and I’m always impressed by her performances. Camacho’s character was introduced in the last few episodes of FOX’s Sleepy Hollow’s last season. Now, she’s back as a series regular as agent Sophie Foster.
It’s not Jessica’s first series role, she was last seen on ABC’s Last Resort, where both Jessica and Jay Hernandez had surprisingly meaty roles in the first (and only) season of ABC’s submarine warfare/political thriller. And she’s done many arcs on other shows over the years. We even talked a little about one of my other favorite shows, Longmire.
The show is a modern-day retelling of Washington Irving’s classic, ”The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to find that the world is on the brink of destruction and that he is humanity’s last hope. And for the past two seasons we’ve watched him team up with a contemporary police officer Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) to unravel mysteries that date back to the founding fathers.
The adventure thriller comes from co-creators/executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek and Transformers franchises, Fringe).
Now listen in on our exclusive conversation with Jessica about agent Sophie Foster and more.
