The Argentinian actor will play sexy self-made businessman Nicolas Trevino in the next season of the semi-Latino soap
Dallas has always been a Latino-friendly nighttime soap. With Marlene Forte as the housekeeper (don’t dare call her the maid!), and Jordana Brewster as her daughter, as well as Argentinian Julie Gonzalo as yet another of the beautiful woman of South Fork, the new version of Dallas has proven to be the permanent or temporary home for a wide range of Latino actors, all under the watchful guidance of Cuban-American creator/showrunner Cynthia Cidre.
And now a new Latino has been added–Argentinian actor Juan Pablo Di Pace, who will be a regular when Dallas enters its third season on TNT.
Di Pace will play Nicolas Trevino, described as “a powerful self-made billionaire businessman who endured a rough childhood.” This isn’t De Pace’s first time at the rodeo: he was a recurring character is NBC’s limited series Camp just this summer, and has appeared regularly on British TV, including Reubensque and The Catherine Tate Show. He was part of Mama Mia! and Survival Island on the big screen as well.
Alas is set to return in early 2014; the exact premiere date has yet to be announced by TNT.
