The second and last season of Fairly Legal, the USA Network light-legal drama starring Sarah Shahi, drops today. But given everything that Shahi has done since, it seems like a long time ago and a long way away for an actress who’s career is definitely on the rise.
If anyone was worried about Shahi’s career after Fairly Legal’s cancellation…they don’t need to both. This bright-eyed and impressive young actress, of Iranian and Spanish descent, hasn’t taken a breath since her series ended. She played a tatoo’d tough girl in Bullet to the Head, Sylvester Stallone’s recent comeback attempt, showed up in a six-episode arc on the NBC hit Chicago Fire, and then found a new home on the CBS techno-paranoid cult hit Person of Interest, where she plays an extremely dangerous, dead-eyed assassin. And she’s just been made a regular for Season Three beginning this fall.
As if that wasn’t enough, she’s a co-star in a Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) action-road picture The Road to Paloma, and co-stars with Michelle Hicks (The Shield) in another assassination actioner, The Adventures of Beatle, both due out this year. And she’s the voice of Killer Frost and her civilian alter ego in the new DC Comics video game Young Justice: Legacy.
We dare you to try and keep up with her on her overactive Twitter feed, @onlysarahshahi, where she bills herself as “that chick from the show.
Ain’t it the truth.
