Se Fija! publisher Angela Ortíz had a great opportunity to curate a photography show about “Latinos in Hollywood” in celebration of Latino Heritage month.
Angela said, “The exhibit is a sample of Latinos in Hollywood in front and behind the camera. It would take many more walls to do a comprehensive exhibit of this magnitude.” …“It is the first exhibit of this type in one of the world busiest airport—and we get to celebrate some of the contributions of Latinos in the entertainment industry through these images.”
The exhibit is at American Airlines Terminal 4 at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
The exhibit consists of 37 photographs of some of Hollywood’s brightest Latino stars, both past and present. Out of the 37 photographs, 26 are Angela’s and one is by her son Gabriel P. Rodriguez. She’s very proud and happy to share these images with such a large traveling audience—and she hopes people will follow-up by educating themselves on the history of Latinos in Hollywood.
Angela thanks Nilza Serrano, LACERS Commissioner and LatinoHeritageLA for the opportunity to work on this project.
