Manny Montana has been knocking around Hollywood for a while now. Since 2010, he’s been appearing in network TV shows, from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to E.R., as an often dangerous-looking Latino with a disturbingly intense stare.
Graceland, the new (and surprisingly darker-toned) cop series on USA is his first gig as a series regular…and wouldn’t you know it, after years of playing Latinos virtually all the time, he’s playing one again—but this time he’s a cop with an Italian surname.
Manny, like fellow Latino actor Pablo Pascal and the other actors in the ensemble, have been working hard to get Graceland noticed as it powers through its first few, powerful episodes. (Which seems to be working: a healthy 3.3 million people sampled the pilot.) Recently he talked with Latin Beat at www.nbcmiami.com about his work; and even more recently had a lengthy and pretty insightful sit-down with The Huffington Post about his work on the show. They’re both well worth watching…so get the nbcmiami interview with Manny Montana by clicking here, but go to Huffington Post Live for the Manny Montana Interview instead.
Meanwhile, you can catch new episodes of Graceland Thursdays at 10P on USA, right after new installments of the last season of Burn Notice.
