Moises Arias: from Montana to Outer space in 14 Years or Less

Moises Arias

One thing you can say about Moises Arias: he’s a quick starter. Not yet twenty years old, he’s already been a regular in two TV series, in major motion pictures…and now he’s in a sci-fi blockbuster.

Basically, Moises has been acting professionally for half his life. Born of Colombian parents, he was barely 11 years old when he got his first gig as “Kid #5” in Everybody Hates Chris, and did his first cartoon work in Dive, Olly, Dive shortly thereafter. He’s kept up with the voice-work, too: he’d done multiple episodes of Phineas and Ferb and worked on Astro Boy before he turned 15, and he was the voice of “Antonio” in Despicable Me 2 just this summer. He’s even written, produced, and directed his own short–Brother In Arms, starring his brother Mateo and completed last year. And then there was The Kings of Summer, a hit at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

You’re certain to see a lot more of this young, proud Latino. He’s a serious, thoughtful, and ambitious young man with big plans. Who knows, he may be running the world by the time he hits twenty.

Meanwhile, here’s a glimpse of him at the L.A. Premiere of Ender’s Game. The sound quality is awful, but it’s worth hearing what he has to say…
