The Nice Guys is one of those films that gives you more than you expected. It is smart and full of some crazy laughter—a true comedy caper. I really enjoyed the acting, especially newcomer Angourie Rice, who steals a lot of the scenes in the film—and of course, all the 70s nostalgia.
It brings back memories of old film noir, which I’m a huge fan of. And listening to the writer Anthony Bagarozzi and director Shane Black, you hear about the types of books and films they enjoy, and how doing this film let them do a private-eye story that you don’t see any more.
Shane Black and producer Joel Silver were asked about the new Predator. Black said, “it’s in the works.”
Angourie Rice told us about her meeting with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. She gave us her description of her character, Holly, and talked about some of her future plans.
The Nice Guys also stars Margaret Qualley, Yaya DaCosta, Kim Basinger, Matt Bomer, Keith David, and Beau Knapp.
