We’ve been hearing about it, teased about it and now, Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens is only two short months away from being in a theater (December 18) near you.
After all the trailer teasers and toy releases we can finally watch a real trailer. And since the trailer release the pre-ticket sales have gone through the roof.
The film stars many new comers to the franchise and a few familiar faces; John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and many more. And directed by J.J. Abrams.
Crimson Peak damn near perfect! It is visually stunning, it has a wonderful score and it’s compelling to watch. Guillermo del Toro is a master of filmmaking and a master of macabre imagery.
Directed and co-written by del Toro, Crimson Peak as pulled out all the stops, with a score that is reminiscent of the old Universal classics, a production design as rich and bizarre as Hellboy or Pan’s Labyrinth, and a cast that’s reaching for a whole fistful of Oscars: Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Charlie Hunnam, Jim Beaver and the ever-creepy Doug Jones, among many others.
Crimson Peak is romantic and sexy and it just went to the top of my list for 2015.

And he gains a friend named Champ (Ryan Lee). But the adventure begin when Zach learns that Hannah’s mysterious dad is in fact R.L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series.

Gloria is a glimpse of real-life show-business survivor, singer-songwriter and rocker Gloria Trevi (Sofía Espinosa) and her manager and then husband Sergio Andrade (Marco Pérez). I enjoyed Espinosa as Trevi. She seemed to channel the singer in every scene.

The second film from director Eli Roth in less than a month, The Green Inferno was released on September 25, the film is written by Eli and his writing partners, Nicolás López and Guillermo Amoedo.
No matter how you feel about this film, it does show that even “smart” people can make decisions with some serious consequences.
The film stars, Keanu Reeves (Evan), Lorenza Izzo (Genesis), Ana de Armas (Bel), Aaron Burns (Louis), Ignacia Allamand (Karen), and Colleen Camp (Vivian).

I liked this film it has a Hitchcock feel to it. The story is about the daughter of a billionaire tech mogul and creator of the Oubli, an interesting little gadget that lets you relieve good memories. Now she’s questioning her own memories about her mother’s death after being kidnapped by a stranger.
I got a chance to talk to the director, Jose Nestor Marquez about the idea and the making of the film.

A Peter Pan we’ve not seen before…if you remember it’s a fantasy; it’s a fun ride to watch.
It could be a bit dark for the young ones but for pre-teens and teens it’s cute, per my teen niece who screened it with me.
I found the different color burst for the gun shot killings creative. It took away from the reality of the deaths.
