Deadpool 2 Is A Fun Ride!

Deadpool 2 is just as much fun as the first one. I enjoyed his commentaries because there weren’t repeats from before.

I noticed that this one had more heart and a few slower scenes but it ALL worked for me.

A refresher: After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor–finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Josh Brolin, Brianna Hildebrand, Zazie Beetz, and TJ Miller.

Deadpool 2 is in theaters on May 18.

It was great to see old friends and meet new ones. T-b: Angela Ortíz with Ser Anzoategui, Chelsea Rendon, Mishel Prada and Melissa Barrera.

Vida is a really fresh look at a community we don’t get to visit often. Show-runner/executive producer Tanya Saracho (Looking, Girls) has brought us a glimpse of it in six episodes that are packed with drama, humor, friendship and love—and the cinematography is stunning (DP Carmen Cabana). I, for one, hope to see more episodes.

We had a chance to chat with Saracho and her lead stars; Melissa Barrera (Club de Cuervos), Mishel Prada (Fear The Walking Dead: Passage), Ser Anzoategui (East Los High), Chelsea Rendon (Bright), Carlos Miranda (The Bling Ring), and Maria Elena Laas (Vital Signs) about their experience working on this project. Check out the conversations. They were very lively, fun and very insightful about all the behind-the-camera talent.

Vida is a half-hour series focusing on two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn’t be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and surprising truth about their mother’s identity.

Vida, premiering May 6 on STARZ.
