Bad Samaritan Has the Scare Factor

Bad Samaritan has the scare factor for a thriller, which was good, but I think the storyline had some holes that left me questioning David Tennant’s character background that led him to be a psychopath. The other two main actors, played by Robert Sheehan and Carlito Olivero, are good, even though their characters made some bad choices.

He Was a Piece of Work, Genius: Picasso

He had a way of breaking down an image to its most primitive form and giving the viewer something to ponder. As a human being, he was quite complicated.

Delevingne & Knight

We enjoyed the episodes we watched because they are  more than just about Picasso; they’re also about many of the talented people around him  who had interesting lives themselves. Now we are looking forward to the upcoming episodes, starring Antonio Banderas (Pablo Picasso), Alex Rich (younger Pablo Picasso), Samantha Colley (Dora Maar), and Clémence Poésy (Françoise Gilot).

Genius: Picasso is on Tuesdays at 9/8c on NETGEO.

Traffik A Suspense Thriller is in Theaters Now

Refuse To Be A Victim, TraffikTraffik is a very ambitious film on a very heart-wrenching subject: modern day slavery and human trafficking.

Laz Alonso, Roselyn Sanchez, Refuse To Be A Victim, Traffik

Laz Alonso and Roselyn Sanchez

It was nice to see actors you like being featured as leads in an action thriller. Watching Roselyn Sanchez and Laz Alonso speak Spanish without subtitles looked very natural to me.

The film is not perfect, but the subject matter isn’t easy to portray, either. It has a strong visual start and direction, but you found yourself wanting to hurt some of the lead characters because of the decisions they made. By the end of the film, the dialogue had started to feel kind of “off” for me, but writer/director Deon Taylor does a great job with his talent in front of the camera, and the wonderful work of cinematographer Dante Spinotti and film editor Melissa Kent behind the camera kept you watching. It also has a great soundtrack.
