Only the Brave in Theaters October 20

Only the Brave is an intense and very human film. I thought it was a very nice tribute to the Arizona firefighters who lost their lives doing what they loved, protecting others. Starring James Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Connelly, and Andie MacDowell. In theaters October 20.

The New Mutants Official Trailer is Here!

There’s Something New to Fear. The New Mutants will hit theaters everywhere on April 13, 2018!

In Theaters on Friday

This Friday 13, we have a mixture of films opening up and some of them are quite interesting and good.

Happy Death Day
I enjoyed this film very much, it was scary and fun and the lead actress, Jessica Rothe (La La Land) was really good showing her emotions.

Blumhouse (Split, Get Out, Whiplash) produces an original and inventive rewinding thriller in Happy Death Day, in which a college student (Rothe) relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she discovers her killer’s identity. Directed by Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) and written by Scott Lobdell and also starring Israel Broussard, and Ruby Modine.

Marshall
Is about a young Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Court Justice, as he battles through one of his career-defining cases; well acted by Chadwick Boseman as Marshall. Also starring Josh Gad, Kate Hudson, Sterling K. Brown, Keesha Sharp, James Cromwell, Roger Guenveur Smith, and directed by Reginald Hudlin.

Professor Marston and the Wonder Women
The story of psychologist William Moulton Marston, the polyamorous relationship between his wife and his mistress, the creation of his beloved comic book character Wonder Woman, and the controversy the comic generated.

It’s written and directed by Angela Robinson and stars Luke Evans, Rebecca Hall, Bella Heathcote, and Connie Britton.

Jackie Chan Action Thriller The Foreigner in Theaters October 13

Jackie Chan, Dasha Mayorga, The Foreigner

Jackie Chan and our intern, Dasha Mayorga

This was my first time seeing Jackie Chan in a serious role and I enjoyed it. The film still had enough action you would expect from a Chan movie. Pierce Brosnan is seriously dangerous in this film and it was nice to see him in such a role. The Foreigner is a good action film with a heart. Check out the audio with Jackie, who told us how this film came to him.

The Foreigner Jackie Chan

The plot: The film tells the story of humble London businessman Quan (Chan), whose long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fueled vendetta when the only person left for him to love—his teenage daughter—is taken from him in a senseless act of politically-motivated terrorism.

Directed by Martin Campbell and screenplay by David Marconi. Based on the novel The Chinaman by Stephen Leather.
