On May 4, 2023, Disney+ and Disney Junior will premiere the original animated series, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures in celebration of Star Wars Day.
Synopsis: Set during The High Republic era, the animated series follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way.
Lucasfilm unveiled the key art for the series, which features Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Slay, Nubs, Master Yoda, Nash Durango, and RJ-83. Three animated shorts were also released as a sneak preview of the animated series. Meet the Young Jedi, Lys’ Creature Caper, and Kai’s Daring Droid Rescue introduce the Jedi younglings and their friends on planet Tenoo.
Three additional shorts will debut on YouTube over the coming weeks, with all six shorts available to stream on Disney+ on April 26, ahead of the series debut May 4.

Here’s a little background on Flynn and Barer.
Pilar Flynn is producer on Disney Branded Television’s Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, based on Marvel’s hit comic books. Flynn is a twice Emmy® Award-nominated producer for her work on Disney’s Elena of Avalor, which follows Disney’s first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore.
She began her animation career at DreamWorks Features, where she co-produced the award-winning short First Flight and worked on the production of films such as The Road to El Dorado, Sinbad, Spirit, Madagascar and Flushed Away. Flynn then went on to serve as line producer of the animated feature films Mean Margaret and Astroboy. She was also co-producer on the groundbreaking R-rated animated feature Sausage Party, starring Seth Rogen.
Following her passion for innovative media, Flynn wrote and produced My Beastly ABCs, a heartwarming interactive storybook named Top Ten Kid App of the Year for 2012 by USA Today.
Flynn currently serves on the board of directors for the Latino Film Institute, a nonprofit organization founded by actor Edward James Olmos. She is a native of Chile and Ecuador and spent much of her childhood in countries throughout South America and Europe.
Libe Barer who is Lunella’s best friend and manager, Casey. Barer is most recognized for her performance as Carly Bowman in the crime drama Sneaky Pete, alongside Giovanni Ribisi and Bryan Cranston. Her additional television credits include recurring roles on Those Who Can’t, Parenthood and Colony. She can also be heard as the voice of Violet Sabrewing on Disney’s DuckTales and Sage on Disney Star Darlings. On the big screen, Barer starred in I See You, alongside Helen Hunt, and Disfluency.
Synopsis:Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette (aka Moon Girl) and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. Rest in peace Raquel Welch. She died Wednesday, February 15 in Los Angeles at the age of 82 after a brief illness.
We remember how funny and enjoyable she was on our interview for How to be a Latin Lover back in 2017. Thank you for all the memorable roles you played.
We are happy that the procedural will now be in its new home and we hear it is “sexier” too, according to its stars and showrunner, as characters Thomas Magnum, played by Jay Hernandez, and Juliet Higgins, played by Perdita Weeks, getting together and starting a romantic relationship. A direction we could see it going, in the last season.
Looking forward to new adventures with the whole crew. Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang and Amy Hill also star.

A Knock at the Cabin, an interesting movie that lacked my interest. The story was as dull as the characters were stale. Although the movie fell flat, I must say, it was beautifully shot and with a little more elbow grease the concept of the movie would have been captivating.
Synopsis: While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.
