NBC previewed two episodes of its new comedy Telenovela after The Voice on Monday, December 7. The series returns on January 4 at 8:30P after their other new series, Superstore at 8P.

Eva Longoria stars and executive produces Telenovela along with creators/writers Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein; and features a funny ensemble cast, including Jencarlos Canela, Diana Maria Riva, Jose Moreno Brooks, Alex Meneses, Amaury Nolasco, Jadyn Douglas, and Izzy Diaz.

Ridley is Rey and Issac is Poe Dameron in Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens which is in theaters December 18.

They are so many new film releases; we thought we would mention two that caught our attention. And they are both family films.

Krampus is a holiday horror-comedy film based on an Austrian and German folkloric beast of pagan origin. The beast is an ugly thing, with horns, hooves, and chains. The film is not perfect and it’s not for little ones under 8, in my opinion. They are a few moments that are solid with some good sentiments; and I found it to have some future cult following potential.

When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus, a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers.

We were part of a press conference where we got to talk to the writer/director Michael Dougherty and a few of the stars, Adam Scott, Toni Collette, and Allison Tolman. I mentioned to Toni Collette that Muriel’s Wedding is one of my favorite films and she thought it was sweet. Now sit back and listen in on the conversations.

Capture the Flag is inspired by the 1960s space race and sees a ruthless billionaire bent on exploiting the source of Helium 3, the clean energy of the future. His plan involves rewriting history to excise the feats of the Apollo XI astronauts and the Moon landing. Enter headstrong 12-year-old surfer, Mike Goldwing, who along with his friends, a small lizard with delusions of Godzilla-like grandeur, and his grandfather, travels to the Moon to thwart evil.

Directed by Enrique Gato and the voice stars are: Dani Rovira, Michelle Jenner, Camilo Garcia, Javier Balas, Oriol Tarrago, and Carme Calvell.

The Good Dinosaur: I Loved it!

The Good Dinosaur2I realized after watching The Good Dinosaur that Pixar films are the modern-day Looney Tunes: fun films to watch. And for those of you who have no idea of what I’m talking about, Looney Tunes (Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Daffy Duck and so many more) was an animated series of comedy shorts produced by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969.

I enjoyed The Good Dinosaur. I found Arlo and Spot to be very cute and I even liked the Western feel to the film. The look of the scenery (trees, water) was very real, very impressive.

Matt Cedeño (Z Nation, Devious Maids) guest stars on Rosewood episode 9, airing Wednesday, November 25. He’s a murder suspect and partner to the poisoning victim/fashion designer.

Rosewood, premiered this season and starring Morris Chestnut and Jaina Lee Ortiz, was picked up for a full (22 episode) season and airs Wednesdays @ 8/7C on FOX!
