I’ve been watching Rene’s career for years and I’m very excited to see where he is at the present. If you aren’t familiar with his name, you probably have seen him on some of these television shows: Rizzoli & Isles, Criminal Minds, Bones and films like Go for It!, Filly Brown and J.J. Abram’s Star Trek Into Darkness.

We got together at my favorite coffee spot and talked about his recurring role on TNT’s Major Crimes as Gus Wallace, and how this new television family has welcomed him. He’s working on the fifth season already and couldn’t give us even a teaser about it.

We covered an array of subjects, like his non-profit organization, A.I.M. (Artistic Inspiration and Mentoring). The program brings different artists to speak to inner city students, in the hopes that they will be inspired to become whoever they aspire to be. And he shared some of his plans for the future.
