Starz releases trailer and new photo for new series, Vida, ahead of their premiere as official episodic selections at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival.
Vida is a half-hour series focusing on two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn’t be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and surprising truth about their mother’s identity.
The series stars Melissa Barrera (Club de Cuervos), Mishel Prada (Fear The Walking Dead: Passage), Ser Anzoategui (East Los High), Chelsea Rendon (Bright), Carlos Miranda (The Bling Ring), and Maria Elena Laas (Vital Signs).
At SXSW, Vida will have its world premiere screening of the first two episodes, on Sunday, March 11, followed by a Q&A with creator and executive producer Tanya Saracho (Looking, Girls) and the actors. Vimeo Theater, 1P – 2:30P.
