“The Counselor,” a New Cormac McCarthy Film with a Huge Latino Cast in Theaters

The thriller is co-produced and directed by Ridley Scott, from a screenplay by Cormac McCarthy (his first original screenplay to make it to the screen). And it stars–among many others–a cavalcade of great Latino actors, including Penélope Cruz, John Leguizamo, Cameron Diaz, Rosie Perez, Rubén Blades and Javier Bardem. Oh, and up-and-comers Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender stop by as well.

The film tells the story of a lawyer, played by Fassbender, who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking. Here’s the new trailer.
