“The Lego Movie” is for EVERYBODY!

Hanging with Emmet and Wyldstyle
from The Lego Movie

What can we say…something for the kids and the kid in you. I say that, cause as an adult I enjoyed it very much. And most of us have had a Lego or two under our feet.

The film is the creation of directors by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street). Its voiced by Morgan Freeman, Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, and Liam Neeson.

At the funniest press junket I’ve been to, the actors, directors and producers talked about how much fun it was to make the film. Will Arnett talked about doing the voice of Batman—so he and the directors looked at all the Batman’s that came before to see which made them laugh the most. They came to realize the more serious Batman took himself, the funnier he was.

We found out that this is Morgan Freeman’s first animated character he has voiced. When asked how come, he said he’s never been asked.

The most difficult thing in doing the live action/CGI/stop motion movie was getting a story that made sense and was entertaining. The directors said. From a technical point, was making sure the CGI looked photo real and you think it was a real Lego set that matched up with all real Lego things that were in the movie.

Oh, did I tell you that the junket took place at Legoland…Check out the video below, where I get to talk to a master builder.

The Lego Movie is for EVERYBODY! Nationwide February 7.
