For painfully obvious reasons, NBC has announced that The Voice has been renewed for a fourth and fifth cycle–spring and fall 2013. Christina Aguilera and Celo Green are actually taking a break the next cycle, but another Latina powerhouse, Shakira, will be taking Christina’s place in the spring while she’s on tour, but Christina is expected back in the fall. The Voice continues to be a ratings juggernaut for NBC, even after expanding to two two-hour blocks on Monday and Tuesday nights, and expanding each ‘mentor’s’ team to an awesome 16 each for the first round.
