We’ve lost count of just how many commercials Sofia Vergara has made in the last six months, much less during her impressive career. And oddly, all of them seem to feature her rather remarkable figure as much as anything, no matter what the product being sold (much as her guest star stint on Saturday Night Live–so much so she should have been billed as three guest stars).
The most recent: a mildly amusing commercial, apparently only in Spanish, for Burger King’s new “Garden Fresh Salads.” We shouldn’t complain: BK has been altering its menu to make room for healthier foods and better salads, and doing a Latino commercial starring, arguably, one of the best-known Latinos on screens of any size, can only move the community into better eating habits…
…but still: Sofia. How about one commercial that isn’t about how sexy you are? You’re also smart, funny, powerful, and immensely self-aware. We’d buy that for a dollar!
