Triple 9 shows the gray areas between the law and crime; it is full of intense action and some really good performances. We got to catch up with a few of the actors and the director, who told us about heir approach to their characters.
Clifton Collins Jr., who is a true chameleon, he can play anything, good, bad, nerd and more; gave us a very raw and honest talk. Anthony Mackie and Chiwetel Ejiofor had us laughing and gave us a great interview. Norman Reedus and Aaron Paul were also great to talk to.
Now listen in and enjoy the seriousness and the laughter we had during our conversations. And check out the film synopsis below:
Bullets fly on the Atlanta freeway as armed thieves make their getaway following a bank robbery in broad daylight. Unhappy with the results, ruthless gangster Irina Vlaslov (Kate Winslet) orders the men to pull off another job. One member of the team is Marcus Belmont (Anthony Mackie), a crooked cop who gets saddled with Chris Allen (Casey Affleck), his new but incorruptible police partner. As Belmont and his cohorts lay the groundwork for the heist, they come up with a devious plan to use Allen as their pawn. — A.O.
Woody Harrelson also stars, and has become quite a character actor; and does a good job in the film directed by John Hillcoat.
In theaters February 26.
