Casting news about the…ah, challenging film adaptation of the BDSM novel has been fast and furious…and now Latino hearthrob Victor Razuk is in the middle of it.
Victor Razuk has been an up-and-comer in Latino Hollywood for a few years now; he was a doctor in a multi-episode arc in the waning days of ER, and a played a memorable part in How to Make It In America. Now he’s about to become a living legend: he’s been cast as José in Fifty Shades of Grey.
José is described as “an amateur photographer and close friend of Anastasia Steele” (to be played by Dakota Johnson). The two of them met as freshman at college, and immediately became “kindred spirits.” Ana, it says, here, always saw José as “the brother [she] never had.” Then along comes Christian Grey (to be played by Jamie Dornan–at the moment), and all bets are off, and all handcuffs on.
Rasuk recently appeared in the Steve Jobs biopic Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher, and he’s slated to appear in next May’s Godzilla with Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen.
