Victoria Justice has been a Big Name among her chosen demographic for quite a while now–first in Zoey 101. (Was that really more than seven years ago?) and for the last couple of years in VicTORIous. In that short span of time, she’s racked up eleven different awards nominations and taken home three of her own, including a Kid’s Choice Award,
VicTORIous may have been recently and rather abruptly cancelled, but that hasn’t slowed Victoria down–not at all. The music she made as part of the show continues to sell, and her music career–running parallel to TV and film–is clearly still on the rise.
And now, though this hugely talented singer/songwriter/dancer/actress hasn’t even hit twenty years old, she’s co-starring in her two feature films, premiering within weeks of each other: The First Time, with Britt Robertson debuts Friday Oct. 19, and then just a week later, Fun Size, with Johnny Knoxville and Chelsea Handler hits the movieplexes as well. (Yes, she’s done a bunch of TV movies and had small parts in a few theatrical releases, but she’s a solid co-star in First Time and the star star of Fun Size.) And she’s on the cover of this month’s Latina, which leads to a Q&A inside. The best part: we learn that her Latina heritage isn’t a secret or an convenient marketing ploy. As she told them, “My parents got divorced when I was young, but I grew up around the Puerto Rican side of the family, so I’m definitely immersed in that culture.”
